As stated, hard to tell the difference unless the range is way out there.

I have found consistently across about a dozen pistols of different types/ brands that 124 grain ammo tends to shoot best. Not always a huge difference but consistently more accurate than 115 or 147. I recently got a deal on Swiss made 124 grain match ( branded and boxed as RWS) and it will run a 2” 25 yard groups out of my Glock which I feel is about the limit of what a Glock can do. I also picked up some double tap match ammo, branded as colt national match with similar results

I have a lot of fun at my range trying to see what ammo is the most accurate in different pistols. For me it's not about self defense or anything. I just have fun doing it. I enjoy doing penetration tests on different self defense ammo too. For me each gun seems to like a different grain ammo. For example my P210 prefers 147 grain ammo. That seems to make more of a difference than what brand.

What 'gat did you get? Ammo can be pistol specific, depending on what you're shooting. What kind of range distance/targets/discipline matters also. If you are shooting major power factor IPSC/USPSA competition, or watermelons at 7 yards, matters too. Also, fun at the range is not necessarily contingent on ammo choice. ![]() ![]() ![]() H&K-Guy
