I'm not a connoisseur but it tastes pretty much the same to me. I'm sure it's totally different to one of the people who really get into their whiskies. |

That's what caught my eye.
"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946. |

Since the process is adopted from the Scottish variety, it's whisky, not whiskey. Some drinkers find them drier than Scotch, most say that there's a broader amount of delicate notes and not as overbearing as a smoky Isly. In general, they are very good, well executed and for a culture that has lots of OCD hallmarks, their whisky's are held to an extremely high standard. Suntory and Nikka are the oldest brands and have built up their relationships with their Scottish counterparts. To the OP, see if you can get your hands on a bottle of Nikka From the Barrel |

That might be but I find it quite acceptable over one large ice cube. Stocked up when Costco had the holiday packs at $24 a couple years ago. Hibiki is even better. |

| Toki is fine for sipping. It's not the best thing on earth but I like it quite a bit. Different strokes i guess. |
