Same here, and friend boy do I feel lucky and blessed. At this point in life I can number friends, acquaintances, and family members at least as deserving as I (many more so) who had their chances to continue with this thing called life cut short. While I don't enjoy the slowing down, I am glad to be more thankful each day.

Many of us are sir.

Just the other day I was doing a particularly difficult case and nothing was going right. I made the comment, "Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit smoking". One of the nurses, a cute young thing, looked up at me and said, "I didn't know you smoked."

Sigh....

Reference The previous post, in 10 years I will be 92. I'm still going and if my pacemaker keeps going I am still strong, thanks to the VA. NOT ready to be planted!

I'm 50 in 1 week. I used to be the youngest, quickest, hungriest wherever I went.

Now I'm the oldest (tech industry), but wiser and better than the foolish young man I was. What leaves me scratching my head is I have been with my wife 30 years, married 25 this New Year's Eve. Seems to have gone by in a blink, and I'm jealous of the time we have each day as well as the time I get to spend with our children.

I've had a plate put in my neck and 4 shoulder surgeries in last 6 years. I'm truly blessed to be here and plan to enjoy my next 50 years Smile
