Thinking about putting a Projector in my Garage to cast games and shows up on the back wall.

Right now there is a 60 Inch HD 720P LG that works fine, but having a 100 inch screen on the wall would be even better.

Since its going in a Florida garage where the temps could be 40 degrees or 120 I don't want to
drop $1000, thinking in the $200-$300 range and ceiling mounted.

Needs to have WiFi for streaming, and I'd have to figure a way to get the Sat box connected by HDMI, either one really long cable or a second ceiling mount to hold that box. Maybe there is a wifi HDMI transmitter that would work.

Interested in what to look for as far as specs to get a decent image for watching sports ie NASCAR, F1, Football, Basketball and movies.

There are a lot of them that are inexpensive now. You can definitely get one that is 1080p or even 4k. I would do a lot of research, YouTube reviews, then pivot to the companies that carry it and read customer reviews.

A quick search for you I came up with two:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/prod...ews%2Fbest%2Foutdoor

Rtings has an outdoor comparison that they periodically update. I would stick to an outdoor projector due to your temp variances, etc.

What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone

Thanks for the links, I was looking at a Nexigo PJ40, under $300, Outdoor, and allows a Firestick to be used which would let me use DTV in a streaming format vs connecting the HDMI box.

Still learning this stuff, the louder fan won't be an issue since it's outside in the garage and we usually have a fan running in the window to move air and cigar smoke out.

Thinking the amount of brightness, the spread of that vs being higher bright in the center as well as lag are the important things for it, but again, that's just the prelim discovery. Primary use will be after dark, but with lights dimmed in garage. Very little day use but it's possible.

Hoping someone here has done something similar.
