My son has been promoted to Colonel (O6) in the US Army, in an Combat Arms branch. He has been a Combat Arms Commander at each rank he has held, graduated from the Command and General Staff College and the Army War College. He is now taking a Brigade overseas.

I can't properly express how proud my wife and I are. I was an Army brat, he was an Army brat, and his son (my grandson) is striving to be accepted into the US Department of Defense Medical School to become an Army Surgeon.

I am so freaking glad I have lived long enough to see this.

Thank you for your service to our country. The lineage your family represents is a testament and example.

The facts are your family has sacrificed to obtain a measure of success that few can claim. Congratulations Sir.
