Mine came today too. Using it now at work. It’s nice, bright and has decent throw.

I already had a bunch of protected high drain 18650s I use with my lightsabers, so that’s what I’ll use with the Surefire.

Thanks Mike!

I told my son about the purchase and he confirmed my suspicions that these were great lights when he told me he just sold several thousand of them to MARSOC!

Dry-Fly...

Got my lights today.

Thought the M600/Surfire 18650 was DOA. The Surefire charger would not charge it. Got out my XTAR VC4 charger and found that the battery had such little charge that the protective circuits in the Surefire charger recognized it as a bad battery.

The XTAR is now charging the battery.

I put a high drain battery in it (3400mAh, 10Amp draw battery) in it and the light worked great.

I will test and play with the X300 tomorrow.

Thanks again!!

I’m glad you figured out the issue^^. Hopefully it won’t give you an issue once fully charged. Good luck!

Received and tested in the yard tonight. The Fury is impressive even with the stock batteries. Thanks very much for putting this together dry-fly.

Just a follow up for info to others looking for handheld or weapons mounted lights.
The deal offered by DF was amazing and I am glad to have been able to benefit from his generosity!

I will compare the Surefire Fury and the M300 to the Streamlight Pro-Tac line equivalents.
The Surefire models feel slightly less in weight and side to side they have similar fit and finish.
The Streamlight Pro-Tac rail mounted light vs the M300. The M300 comes with the rechargeable 18650 battery and charger. The Streamlight does not and comes with CR123 batteries(2).
The Streamlights are rated at 1000 lumens. Compared to the Surefires, rated at 1200-1500, I could not tell a noticeable difference between intensity. What was noticeable was the light 'color'. The Steamlights are noticeably white over the Surefires which have a yellow glow in comparison.
