sigmonkeyShould the POTUS be able to order the SCOTUS to hear an appeal directly from any level of federal court?

arcwelderHell to the NO.
The President can't order the Supreme Court to do anything.
If this is a power you think Trump should have, try to keep in mind that any power you give him, a Democrat may later have.
Same goes for Congress.
The party you want in power, simply will not always be in power. So really, this is why the Government as a whole should have as little power as possible.

BBMWIf the SCOTUS had a conservative majority, no problem. If it has a liberal majority, we'd be screwed anyway.

KevinCWAbsolutely not.
The design of the system, is that the powers that be are completely separate.
This is a terrible idea.

airsoft guySounds like a fantastic idea, and then maybe later I can shut a car door on my boybag.
Be careful giving your guy power, because tomorrow their guy could use it. Trump isn't going to be president forever, in the next few years we could very well get B. Rock 2: Bolshevik Boogaloo, and you can bet your last dollar they'd use that power to screw us long, and hard.
So, uh, no.
