It’s from Channel 5 News.
At 7:09 the camera stops at this location.

Although possible, the trouble with the industrial accident theory is not just that there was a warning message, but that it came from the RV (police had responded to it).

Furthermore, a witness testifies that the initial part of the warning specifically said that this vehicle has a bomb.

Unfortunately, I don't believe there's a recording of the message before it changed to a different message with the 15 minute countdown. Maybe one will surface. However, the woman interviewed does not sound like a crackpot.

I struggle with not seeing the RV.
Am I to believe that one of these vehicles is the RV or did the RV just completely disintegrate?




Is RV 1,2,3, or completely disintegrated?

There is not a lot to an RV. The most substantial parts are the frames, axles, transmission and engine. Even the cab in an RV like this being at ground zero probably wouldn't have a lot left of it. You won't see most of this from these photos given the debris.

Anyone remember the cement truck mythbusters destroyed with ANFO? Significantly more substantial and almost nothing remained.

It's a there, just now very very very small.

It depends on how the explosives were placed/packaged in the vehicle. A simple stick of TNT will open a car like a tuna can and rain debris over a quarter mile.. Several hundred pounds anfo could rain the vehicle over several blocks.

In Oklahoma City, they found an axel from the rental truck on a fifth floor roof. Two blocks away.

The blast seat determines where things go.

Some disgruntled 63 year old blew himself up in his RV. He had signed over his real estate to a woman in California. He probably had a grudge against ATT or ATC. Keep the conspiracy theories coming, I am amused!

RV's are built extremely light. Almost nothing above the frame but a very light skin and some insulation.

Engine/drivetrain could have been blown to many pieces and thrown a hundred yards or more.

Naw, I will concede.
It’s been entertaining trying to make sense of it.

What you suggest makes the most sense.
I can envision that he had the explosives rigged like a shape charge, focusing the energy toward the AT&T building.
This would seem to account for the burn marks, and the hole in the side of the AT&T building.
The RV was then hit with the back blast off of the AT&T building with the majority of the RV in the building across the street from the AT&T building.
So the RV is not 1,2, or 3 it is option 4.

This reminds me of the asshole that shot up the concert in Vegas. All sorts of theories abounded and it ends up just being one asshole with a bunch of rifles and ammo.

If you click on this link it will take you to a news reticle from Buffalo, NY a few years ago. It shows pictures of a mini bus being blown up a part of a training exercise that I took part in. I can’t figure out how to just get the pictures from the article onto this forum so I did the next best thing.

If you look at the damage caused to this bus, understand that this is from less than 1 pound of explosives. I know that it was less than 1 pound because I placed the explosives myself. I can tell you that the bus in that picture is built much more substantially than any RV that I’ve encountered. So if you know that less than 1 pound of explosives did what you saw done to that bus, can you imagine what a hundred pounds or more of explosives could do to a vehicle that isn’t even constructed as well as that bus?

I have seen nothing in Nashville that leads me to believe that any shenanigans are going on. The blast looks consistent with what I would expect from a good sized improvised explosive device and the aftermath looks consistent as well.

I suppose we will find out what motivated this man eventually. A perceived or real slight certainly drove him for maximum physical damage to property and services ,while showing intent for minimal human damage.

Could this have been some kind of 2-point detonation (not sure what the official term would be)? A smaller explosion propels the main charge a short distance away before it goes off. Sort of like a "bouncing betty" on a massive scale. May be intentional or just happened that way. It would account for the blast signature being across the street from the RV.

Yes.

I have dash cam video of an RV/Camper rolling on the highway at 65 mph. It completely disintegrated; it was utterly unrecognizable afterwards.

I once saw first hand what 1200 lbs of improvised explosive could do to a Buick. The only recognizable piece we found was the front axle. It was embedded in a cement wall.

Yes. The RV disintegrated. Wouldn’t take much really.

I'd almost buy that, but the voice on the recording doesn't sound like a 63 y/o man and the music mixed in also doesn't fit in my mind with disgruntled.

Turns out a few buildings suffered massive damage. Just saw street level up close photos. Far more than glass - half the structure gone.
