Of course if your pain level is high, the next available appoint is the one you want.

I’ve been with my doctor for 24 years. He is routinely booked out 4-6 months.

Mine as well, but he will see you quickly if you are in pain. He is a friend which helps.His wife who is the receptionist is emapathetic and helps me out if needed.
It always pays to be extra nice to the receptionist, as she controls access.

First thing in the morning for me. I make sure I book my next appointment when I leave.

I always schedule mine after lunch. I'd rather not be hungry and not be able to eat for a few hours after.

We don't joke about dentistry. Again some jokes just are not funny.

Yep. I just missed it and thought it was a legit question and not an attempt at humor. Of course it was early and I only had 1 cup of coffee when I replied so....
