Interesting IPhone observation
So, I’ve been a member here for awhile. Don’t post much but appreciate the help when I do. While I don’t post much, I visit this site nearly everyday to read through posts in many of the rooms.

In the past, when I use my phone to visit and I tap the search bar to find Sigforum, it’s been listed in my recents, along with the other website icons I frequent. In the past 2-3 weeks, I noticed it doesn’t come up with the other icons that I visit daily. I have to type in the entire website for it to show up in the taskbar or toolbar...whatever it’s called.

Anyone else notice this or Am I missing something? I’m certainly not tech saavy, but found it odd that the icon for this website doesn’t show up any more.

It’s probably related to Para switching the site to https.

I’ve noticed no problems. I do recall Para saying he changed something to make the site more compliant to search engine security warnings. I’m nothing like computer savvy so my explanation is likely incorrect but something was changed a short time ago.

Do you use bookmarks? Just add it and go from there. You can even make your own icon for SigForum on your home screen.

Could be using Safari private vs. public browsing and changes to the defaults in how iPhones store personal data per your preferences.

I use private browsing most of the time, and it prevents a lot of cookies so various websites do not remember me - like looking up a recipe for a mixed drink and having to confirm that I am 21 on the same whisky company's website every time. The Keychain still works for passwords, so as long as you use that it's not too bad.
