Skins2881Wood flooring question.
I had my hardwoods refinished about 12 years ago. Since then I've ended up with a few scuffs and normal wear. Is it possible to have a contractor do the light scuffing/sanding they do between coats to add a new layer of poly to the floors without sanding all the way down, restraining, and new poly?
Except one spot with a deep scratch, the floors are still in generally good condition. The stairs do have a little more wear than the rest of the floors.

irreverentYes. I’ve had it done to my kitchen floor.

old dinoWhat is the finish on the floors ...?
We have all hardwood read oak throughout our house with Osmo finish specifically because it is so easy to use a very "light wipe" to take care of any scuffs or scratches.
Hard to suggest without knowing the finish of your floors.

I believe it's SamSeal Urethane with Minwax custom color mix, which I still have about a 1/2 quart left of the stain.

Just a thought, look into using some of your finish and thinning it down to use as a light wipe ...
