Good morning all.
I finally got my Concealed Carry Permit in my new state and am looking for advice/opinions on the best location and product to mount in my Gladiator to hold my 365XL while seated in the vehicle. I don’t like to keep it in the holster on my hip while driving.

There seems to be an area just to the left of the 4WD shifter that might work but I thought that others may have come up with a solution already.

I’m not looking for a place to store the gun while it’s parked as Jeeps are notoriously easy to break into.

Extra bonus points for pictures!
Thanks!

I had thought about something like this for my 2010 JK. Best I could come up with was something like this Uncle Mike's holster velcroed inside my center console on the left side.

https://www.unclemikes.com/hol...-holster/P00998.html

I did not want anything visible that might encourage someone to go into the car. Ultimately I just decided to wear the gun. If you do go this route be mindful you might need a left handed holster depending on placement.

For those occasions where I could not carry into some place like a courthouse postoffice school etc. I did get a locking metal box that mounts under the front drivers seat that mounts to the bolts attaching the seat to the floor. Be sure to torque the fuck out of those bolts when reinstalling.

My Jeep is a soft top, so I just never lock the car and don't keep anything valuable in it (other than occasionally the lock box). Rather lose sunglasses folding knife or whatever than have someone cut the top to get access.

Go on Ebay.com and search "3D Prints by Connor". He makes a simple mount that you can attach to your ride where you want it, either with a stick on pad or with screws. You then just clip an IWB or OWB clip equipped holster onto the mount. Multiple colors, too. $24. Dude also 3D prints magazine pouches, too.

I never could find a solution I really liked. Mostly I either keep it on me or in a holster in the cup holders or beside.

I did add the Tuffy security drawer and the trunk security deck enclosure thing, worth considering just in general.

I'm not a Jeep owner, but I'll offer this: A while back I worked with a friend in the Kydex holster business about a P365 holster for a car. We worked out an "upside down and left-handed" P365 holster. What that did was rearrange her holster design such that the clip was on the left side, and mounted a bit lower than normal. Built like that, we could then remove the clip entirely, and repurpose the "bulge" that was there to hold the holster/clip bolts and use it for different bolts.

Then we drilled the plastic piece under the steering column (sort of above and between one's knees) to match, using the clip as a template. With some careful work, a small wrench, and a thimbleful of patience, we mounted the clip to that shroud so that reaching forward and palm-up, the P365 was easily found yet held securely.

I think I have pics around here somewhere, if you're interested.

God bless America.

Thanks everyone for all your comments. I have a tuffy lock box in my F-350 and love it but the Jeeps console is too small and I want something that is quickly reachable.
I’m sending a couple of you emails.
Thanks again!

Creslin if you could email me I’d appreciate finding out more about your suggestion..
Thanks.

My jeep came stock with a rifle rack on the dash, under the windshield, and behind the steering wheel, but that’s probably not what you are looking for. Wink

Desert does it has a cool option for mounting a holster and another that helps the seat to be more comfortable.

The multi mount panel can hold all sorts of different items including holsters, knives, flashlights etc. And many options for mounting. There are some youtubes on both items.

This guy does an install. Not the best video but at least it is on a jeep. There are other videos that show the products better.

Both are pricey, however folks seem to love the mounting system. And, the seat comfort is night and day better with the jackers. No more feeling like you are slipping forward and your thighs have better support.

I have the shorties. And I am so glad I did the install.
