I don't want that snow but sure am looking forward to the end of our summer weather. Most of the mid-west is still dealing with these upper 80's and low 90's temps. To hell with that.

Sooooo ... camping with a 3-season tent north of Stryker (Dickey Lake) late August into late September is definitely not happening next year!

When do I want to plan my exit?

Spearfish Canyon in the upper Blackhills of South Dakota got one hell of a hail storm last night... golf ball size or better...

We have snow in the mountains around us, and snow closed HWY 26 around Mt Hood.

Here at our 320 feet above sea level we just had a bit of rain.

We don't get much snow down here, but when the temperatures drop we will get icy roads.

We also are getting our fall winds (25+ mph sustained).

We had measurable snow (1 1/2 in.) on Saturday and that is the first time since 1926 for September. Our first freeze also happened that day. Frown

I'm not ready for this shit. Winter 2 months earlier than normal is very depressing.
