FN in MTSeptember 29th and we have a foot of snow!
Strange, early season winter storm has descended on Montana since Friday night. Still snowing here, but the worse is over.....at least here.
North of us on the Blackfeet Reservation they have THREE FEET on the ground with blizzard conditions really blowing and drifting it around.
Same for the Cutbank, MT area. Brutal weather conditions.
St Mary's by Glacier Park had 40" earlier this afternoon. Probably added more this afternoon.
Supposed to end by early AM.
Bet this will get limited MSM coverage as it doesn't meet their "Global Warming: agenda.

ridewvRelish it, sounds great for the water table out there! Or in your area is water not a real concern?
No car is as much fun to drive, as any motorcycle is to ride.

FN in MTMissouri River is 400 yds North of me. My well is probably plugged into an aquifer supported by the River. But I agree...We ALWAYS like water out here. Should give all the trees a good drink before Winter too.

sigfreundWow. We usually have at least one minor snowstorm here by now, but I’ve never seen anything like that this early. We could actually use some precipitation to reduce the “very high” fire danger posted in most counties in our area. Light snow is forecast, but not until Friday.
You are probably right about the agendas and their effects on reporting, but heavy snow is not actually evidence against rising temperatures. Higher temps lead to more water being evaporated into the air, and sooner or later it will precipitate out; if it’s cold enough, that will be snow, and sometimes lots of it.

KevboWhere I don’t want snow this early, the fact that it’s going to be 95 here on Tuesday and Wednesday just reminds me I need to get the heck out of here

mcrimmLuckily, the storm didn’t hit the West Glacier area. Just cold, wind and a few flurries. Tonight will be our first frost.

bronicabillWhile I’m not ready for 3+ feet of snow, I AM a bit jealous of the cooler temps as we’re facing 95-96 degree temps for at least another week, and I’m completely sick of the heat!!!
