It varies. I’ve priced the same meal across different platforms and gotten different prices. I almost never use them but it is nice if the house is duck and nobody wants to cook or leave.

I have no idea what cut the restaurant gets vs Doordash. I suspect the Doordash fee goes 100% to Doordash. As far as tipping, I neglected to mention tipping the Doordash driver, but tip was included in the $24 vs $27 example. Supposedly 100% of the tip goes to the doordash driver. There is no option to tip the restaurant. Very interesting. Thanks for sharing actual examples. Seems like those memberships change the pricing and for others the convenience can be worth it. I would guess multiple people ordering together would help too. I was mostly curious because some credit cards offer like $10-15 a month as a credit for this. I don’t think the credit really has value to me.

I assume it is a 'generational' thing. I cannot ever imagine using one of these services. Those growing up with them are much quicker to embrace these services (door dash, uber, etc), because they are not 'new' to them. Fear God and Dread Nought Admiral of the Fleet Sir Jacky Fisher

Wasn't one of these services called out because the delivery people were asking for tips ahead of time so you could get your food delivery prioritized over those who didn't tip/tipped less? _____________
