Little bar in Mobile Al is in the finals for best local southern bar in Garden and Gun While it’s a shadow from what I knew in the mid 80’s it’s still a wonderful place to go. It was a seedy Irish dock worker bar, cigarette smoke filled nicotine and tar ooze down the wall from humidity filled with old journeyman courmudgeans arriving at 7am after ahift ended, just to be replaced an hour after shift change each afternoon. Damn those were the days!! It’s now a cleaned up local spot that has retained its history and aupports the neighborhood along with national and regional musicians. Regardless of the change of ownership and getting cleaned up after decades of being a seedy spot it’s one of my favorite places to go. Doesn’t hurt my father lives in VERY close proximity A Vote for Callahan’s would be greatly appreciated. One can vote every hour per their rules Callahan’s is the best in the finals Thank you all ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Live today as if it may be your last and learn today as if you will live forever

The Irish in me made me select Callahan's. I was just in Mobile and will have to visit it next time I am over there.

Even though The Project in Biloxi should be at the top of the list, I'll give Callaghan's some votes. I've had some enjoyable experiences there over the years. ---------------------------------------- “The further a society drifts from truth, the more it will hate those who speak it.”

Done also. John The key to enforcement is to punish the violator, not an inanimate object. The punishment of inanimate objects for the commission of a crime or carelessness is an affront to stupidity.

Sorry, had to vote for Player’s Retreat, a bar I’ve actually been to and enjoyed in college - close to NC State
