I had the privilege to attend close friends surprise 60th birthday party last night, one of the finest people and musician I know. All he knew was he had a gig for a private event, little did he know, it was HIS private event. Through it all he was gifted a 1957 Gibson ES-125D, about 30 were made in its single model year. Among other accomplishments Gibson Guitars named him in the top 10 Alt-Country guitar players of all time. How did we know it the “right one” He’s cherished and ogled over a similar model another friend owns for years, but is in unplayable condition currently. This one is close to museum quality His appearance on Rockplast a while ago playing his 70’s Les Paul https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6zXj1qGkN3I ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Live today as if it may be your last and learn today as if you will live forever

That D model is unusual. The difference is the two P90 pickups instead of one. I bet it sounds good. The fish is mute, expressionless. The fish doesn't think because the fish knows everything.

Grandfather to the DC and TDC in the 60’s and 70’s Sounded awesome. Played it like he’d been playing it for decades as soon as he picked it up. Looking forward to hearing it after he puts a new set of his preferred strings on it. Who knows how old those are ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Live today as if it may be your last and learn today as if you will live forever
