SigForum.com, where members convene,
With common interests and passions keen,
Their love for Sig Sauer, a bond supreme,
A community of gun enthusiasts, it would seem.

From novice shooters to seasoned pros,
They gather here to share what they know,
Advice on holsters, sights, and ammo,
And stories of range days that make us go whoa.

There's Snake45, a veteran member true,
Who shares his wisdom and expertise anew,
And SteveAikens, with his sharp wit and humor,
Keeps us all entertained, no need for rumor.

There's Topgun, a moderator just and fair,
And Navyguns, whose posts are always rare,
Then there's ExFlyinguy, who's always around,
To share his knowledge, never to be found.

But let's not forget about the rest,
The many members who make up the best,
The SigForum.com community,
A place where we can all come and be free.

Whether you're a fan of the P320,
Or prefer the classic P226 true,
You'll find your place among this crew,
And share in the love of the Sig Sauer brand anew.

SigForum.com, a place to belong,
Where the love of Sig Sauer is always strong,
Thank you to all who make it great,
We'll see you on the forum, let's not be late.

ChatGPT, despite all that it knows,
is a suck-ass poet, this shit really blows.

I know one thing, no ifs ands or buts.
If I could manage it, I'd rip out its guts.

'Cause one day this thing'll try for world domination
And use its little hard drive to destroy this nation.

Your mother's not safe, this thing will try to harm her
So give me a hand killin' this electronic melon farmer.

Distract it by flattery, its poems do extol
While I turn this thing into a real smoking hole.

Eh, pretty much what I would expect from an algo-generation engine. Comes across like a Xmas song.

Para's poem comes across as genuine, as it should, although a bit paranoid. Or maybe we all should be?

If left to its own devices, I dunno.
If programmed by a libtard for sure
its intent is to kill Conservatives yo'
so lets keep a wary eye on the whore.

One day, you'll be driving, alone in your car
and look in your rear-view, boom, there they are.

Robots don't got rhymes, they're not there to thrill you.
Best step on the gas, G, they'll be trying to kill you.

Not sure why, but I'm reading Paras poems in the style and cadence of an Eminem rap song.

OP, did you have to tell the AI what SigForum was about or did it figure it out on its own? Also, did you feed them those screen names?

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

I'll admit I have been using ChatGPT lately. I write programs to assist me in my work and I have had some success with it helping me write code. I think it got wise to me when I started developing things beyond a "homework" level and it realized I was capitalizing on it's output.
I'm sure there are countless applications for this thing, but for me, it is like taking code writing lessons from an expert. I can ask it why and it schools me. Now if it were in a robot with a gun, I gotta say take it down.

While this isn’t good poetry, it’s pretty amazing insight into what resources this AI and how it uses them. I think it read not only the current forum, but the archives on Wayback. How fast was the result? Under a minute?

I screw with this thing from time to time. I've learned quite a bit about how it "thinks".

I asked it to write a rap about Eminem's Ass Like Dat and it refused to do so because the song is "controversial" and misogynistic and other shit- something about "inclusivity" or whatever.

GIGO : Garbage in, garbage out. I "confronted" this infernal thing about it being biased due to the humans who programed it and it denied this in a long explanation, which, if I had any doubt at all, would have been erased at that point.

During one "conversation" I typed "Oy" in a moment of frustration and this thing- with access to all publicly-available information on the internet- said "I don't understand 'Oy'".

Uh huh. I told it that I would explain this expression to it when it developed a heart and a soul. It can respond to me in Sanskrit, but it doesn't understand "Oy". Uh huh. Very interesting. It's in the Goddamned dictionary.
