slosigJapanese video of some of their last F-4 Phantoms
I wish a) I had one, and b) I could afford to fly and maintain it. It might not be the most efficient way to travel, but it would definitely be rolling in style.

SBrooksWas my first jet aircraft model. Remember my uncle helping me put it together. He was more into that stuff than my dad...

Expert308I've build a few F-4 Phantom models over the years too. It and the F4U Corsair are IMO the two sexiest planes ever built.

Johnny 3eaglesIt was always reassuring when we got them for air support when engaged with hard core NVA near the DMZ.

apprenticeThere is a possibility that the planes in the OP have a part in them that I helped (in a small cog/big machine way) make.
That makes me smile.

GibbMy father was stationed in Thailand until '76, and says he'll always have a fond memory of the F4, from the sound of the engines to the smell of the smoke.

clubleaf206I am acquainted with the man who scored the first MiG kill of the day, May 10, 1972, considered to be the day of the most intense air to air combat of the Vietnam War, I built models of the F-4 he flew that day for him and the man who was his RIO in thanks for autographing a print I have memorializing the event.
The Kansas Air National Guard flew F-4s for many years here, including 66-271, a double MiG killer, it is on permanent display at the air base. The Phantom has long been a favorite of mine, I have thirteen built models at present, including two 1/32 scale examples displayed on my entertainment center.
