For some reason, probably the Iran deal, I started thinking about life after Trump, and I have to say it's a bit difficult to imagine. It's going to be awfully hard to go back to a regular run-of-the-mill politician - someone who carefully crafts every utterance, who is cautious and diplomatic to a fault, who thinks small and incrementally, etc. We've been so spoiled to have Trump back in the White House.

I'm luke-warm on Vance and more positive on Rubio, but whoever takes over in 2029 is not going to be anything like Trump. He is truly one of a kind. He loves America deeply, has a comprehensive coherent vision for how to make it better, the will to break things to make progress and the competence to get results.

It's going to be the end of an era for sure.

We said the same about Ronald Reagan, thinking there would never be a strong R President, took a bit of time to get Trump.

The difference now hopefully is the continued elimination of the Bush era RINO's from the congress, allowing future R POTUS to get things done.

No. I won't start thinking until Feb 2028 at Trump's last State of the Union.

Not until I at least know who will be running, and that's going to be a while.
We know who it possibly could be, but that usually changes.

Yeah, nearly 40 years. I can't wait that long, we gotta start looking seriously for a worthy successor. Rubio/Vance? Vance/Rubio? Somebody else?

Has Anyone Started Thinking About the Post-Trump Era?

The thought never occurred to me, but now that you mentioned it, still no. Sure, I will some day be reminiscing about the historic Trump era, but I see no point of sitting here and now thinking about what’s going to be like after Trump. Life goes on.

More or less. One thing I keep thinking of is how long and how many charges and indictments the dems are going to bring against him once he is no longer president.

I would say "ask this question in 1.5 years". A lot of shit can happen between now and 2029.

DT is a one of kind and we're very lucky he came along when he did. He probably truly saved America. Never ran for office and won the presidency 3 times. Nobody will every dream so bigly and accomplish so many of those dreams. Enjoy the ride.

We are also lucky he is so squeaky clean enough that they couldn't find or create a big enough scandal to take him down.

I normally don’t listen to Sean Hannity but I heard him mention yesterday that he discussed this with President Trump aim an interview and got his take on it.

Like Reagan, Trump came along when we needed him. History will look upon Trump as the man who saved our country when it needed saving the most.

In 2029 it will be time to start a new chapter. I do believe JD Vance will do a wonderful job. Smile
