... means that the internet link, that internet address/location, to the picture, is no longer accessible, can't be found ... or even, the security, that permission to 'see' that picture, is no longer in place, eg permission for the "public" to "see" the picture.

Kinda like, as a tween/teen, you had a Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders poster on your wall. Secured with tape, to the bedroom wall. Or ceiling.

Your mom comes in the next day, see the poster and takes it down from your bedroom wall. When you walk into your bedroom, your sanctuary, all you see is where the poster used to be, straggly bits of tape indicating where the poster used to be. Perhaps a vague outline of something remains.

It's gone. Maybe dad will let you have it back.

Cheesh, I think i have issues.

Well maybe not. Sometimes, those images can be cached, or stored in another location. And so can some websites. Memory.

Sometimes, this caching, can be seen as an option for that website ...

You'll have the website connection name - let's say that name appears in your web browser as "Heirloom long gun". Immediately under that webname name, there is the full website address spelled out - let's say this says www.heirloomguns.org. On the sme line, to the right, there maybe down arrow. Looks like v ... right click on that and the words 'Cached' is displayed. And click on that.

Lengthy explanation, huh ...

So you may not be that so much out of luck.

If it is a link to a posting here, maybe out of luck. If I may ask, what was the post in the Rifle Room?

To be geeky, a right click on the dead image and 'Inspect' might have the relevant info to go looking.

... could be that the postimages plug-in is needed.

But, according to what I read on the postimages.org website, the plug-in works for certain message board software. Very specific message board software.

I would email contact Elkabong and have him send you the images via email.

Best to look at Elkabong profile for the email address ... then email Elkabong and ask for those images to be emailed to you.

... well, hang on.

The postimg website has been locked for a very specific reason. I think their website was hijacked.

This won't mean anything to you, but to those who do and are reading this thread:

postimg.ORG domain is locked by Registry, no prior notice.
While we hope to resolve the issue, we chose postimg.CC as our new home.
Please update codes embedded in your websites.

I will email the images to you.
