Just an FYI, especially for Veterans since HD gives 10% off every day. If you order online, you can buy things you would never think HD would carry. I have purchased some off the wall things from HD like a radar detector and most recently a UTV mounted corn spreader for spreading corn when I hunt. With my 10% off it was cheaper than anywhere else I could find with the options I wanted.

They sell sheets, mattresses, solar panels and solar charging systems, water filtration etc.etc. Plus, with the app you can get it curbside, order online, pull up into the curbside spot and let them bring it to your vehicle without having to enter the store.

Since I have a business (not home improvement but it did not matter), you get points for every purchase and I have already gotten $75 in gift cards this year, plus, their app tracks purchases which makes it easier come tax time.

Anyway. that is my plug. I am surprised at all I can buy from them ,I never thought I would find the corn spreader. So far they do not sell firearms or ammo but maybe, someday.....

There's a reason they named it Home Depot.

Just remember they now have a $400 yearly limit and exclusions on many items…

This. Just about every purchase I have made in the last 2 years or so, there have been 1 or 2 items I didn't get the discount on.

To the OP's point, they are getting like Amazon and Walmart with many items available online that are not considered 'home improvement'.

If you a snow blower, they are on the deal of the day today (Saturday) at about 50% off.

BTW, I checked and with my Pro Account there is not limit to the military discount. With the hurricane and some other home improvement jobs, I have spent over 5k this year and have gotten the 10% off every purchase.

Thanks for reminder, I don't check HD as often as I should, going too often to Amazon for the convenience.

Few years ago I wanted new heavy duty jack stands: HD was ~5-10% cheaper + Military discount + free pick-up in store (Maybe it took a few days longer than Amazon)

WallMart.com has similar, but no military discount, and more hit-or miss... I got smokin deals on some home gym equipment (All made in PRC, same as Amazon or Dicks) But 25%-50% cheaper and free in store pick-up. Obviously they ship it there... Funny most of the bigger stuff; a day or two after ordering, declining [x] for ship to home, they sent email offering the option to just ship to my house anyway.

Tried going to the store and buy something that had a decent lower price as advertised on the internet but that price was refused at the physical checkout register... Internet price only but could get the item with local pick up at local store.. So in less than 1 hour I had returned home and made a online purchase with local store pick up then went back to the store (only 10 minutes from my home) and physically picked up the item and returned home. ..................... drill sgt.
