My youngest has a horse with sand colic. It is pretty bad case, and the vet gives him 5% odds.
The horse would not survive the road trip to a facility for surgical intervention, so she and the vet are doing all the things they can in place.
Prayers and good thoughts for her, as she won't leave him, and for the horse.
She has always been a "St. Jude" for animals of various lost causes and hopeless cases.

I agree with Steve, one of the roughest times my daughter has had was when she lost one of her favorite horses. It's heartbreaking, prayers are with you all.
