My absolute favorite during the 5 1/2 years that I lived in Puerto Rico, during the 1950s and 1960s. I have always been able to find it here in the U.S. mainland, although sometimes I have had to ask the liquor store to order it for me.

My favorite ornament!

Did Govee lights outside this year, and just got the house decorated over the weekend.

Took the plunge and ordered some tru-tone traditional style LED Christmas lights.

The biggest issue with multi-color LED Christmas lights is that LEDs use one wavelength or pure color, whereas traditional incandescent lights used a warm glowing filament behind a colored lens. This is responsible for the strong blue/green hue that is prominent in LED Christmas lights.

Tru-tone has found a way (I assume by using warm white leds behind a colored lens) to recreate to a T, the look of classic C7 and C9 bulbs. They aren't cheap, but they look amazing.

They're a small US based business and they're doing great things. I highly recommend the investment. The only thing they aren't doing at the moment is mini lights. But Vintaglo is handling that.

The 4 stages of a man’s life..

You believe in Santa..

You don’t believe in Santa..

You are Santa..

You look like Santa..

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
