I go through one a year, works great for nose hair and the trimmer attachment is perfect for trimming my beard and eyebrows.

I have one too, except that mine is powered by a single AA alkaline battery (good for a year of use). Works well, and doesn’t snip me. I think I paid ~$12 for it several years ago.

I was not a fan of the groom mate. It will last a lifetime but I found it to pull hairs. When twisting you have to stay pretty still.

It came with both a sickle cutter and a rotary cutter. The cutters are attached/detached with a crisp rotary turn. The sickle cutter is double sided – very fast. The Norelco sickle was single sided. The rotary cutter. Isn’t as fast, but it doesn’t have a tickle-inducing vibration.
Operates on a single AA battery.

This is the Panasonic one I use. Had one for many years and just recently replaced it with the same model.

I have everything that's been mentioned. The manual rotary thing. The battery operated thing. The scissors in my manicure set like the one pictured below plus a Q tip to hold them out and past my nostrils has been the most effective for me. I use a make up magnifying mirror.
