Bungee Cord "catapult" across canyon (Acrophobics need not view)
In the realm of HELL no, this is pretty far up there. Don't want to go first because it's untested. Don't want to go second since the bungee is worn and is eventually going to fail. Or a bolt. Or the cable.
Notice how they don't show the wet crotch after returning to the platform?
Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I'd do it, but it isn't really a catapult.
Big swing is about right.
The fish is mute, expressionless. The fish doesn't think because the fish knows everything.

This is more indicative of a true "catapult"...
"If you’re a leader, you lead the way. Not just on the easy ones; you take the tough ones too…” – MAJ Richard D. Winters (1918-2011), E Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil... Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel." - Isaiah 5:20,24

It's a bungee jump for pussies.
"I vowed to myself to fight against evil more completely and more wholeheartedly than I ever did before. . . . That’s the only way to pay back part of that vast debt, to live up to and try to fulfill that tremendous obligation."
Alfred Hornik, Sunday, December 2, 1945 to his family, on his continuing duty to others for surviving WW II.
This is from a bridge over the Kawarau River outside of Queenstown, South Island.

Flashguy, This is where I made my first (and only, so far) bungy jump.

The key to enforcement is to punish the violator, not an inanimate object. The punishment of inanimate objects for the commission of a crime or carelessness is an affront to stupidity.

I'd do this tomorrow and not break a sweat. Horizontal launch is a nothing burger; vertical is, ah, ...different.

I get nervous going on the log ride at Disneyland, I'm pretty sure I would shit myself doing that.
