Some estimates have that one around 3kt. The north end was obliterated. An anchor was blown across the harbor and landed on the other side. There is a monument where it landed. My grandparents lived in Armdale at the time and the day after the explosion a blizzard hit. Boston sent train loads of supplies and that’s why every year Halifax sends a Christmas tree to the city of Boston. | |||
