charlie12My dash cam video made the news.
I was in the right place to record this video yesterday. Lots of messages from news stations today wanting to use it.
Thank God the worker had his harness on. He wasn't injured.

400mHe’s damn lucky. I would not get in that bucket without my harness on.

P210The guy in the bucket is lucky to be alive. A foot lower and he’d be a goner. His attorney will owe you a dinner.

Mustang-PaPaGreat video!
Its been all over the news and Facebook today and the lack of lane restriction caught my attention when I first saw it but that trucker is a real dumbass for not avoiding it though.
I’ll bet better lane restrictions will be in effect going forward.

Mars_AttacksThat safety gear saved his bacon. The hard hat also did its job as it was flipped off by the light and support.

patwHe was very fortunate to have lived. Now to see if someone will keep their job for not thinking ahead with either cones to block that lane or someone to direct traffic around the bucket.

I think there's blame on both parties on this one. Yeah, there probably should have been better warnings up, but that driver still should have seen the bucket.

Yep. So Charlie12, did you get any money for your video?
Edited to add: they said you gave them the video, so I guess not.
"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

honestlouReally good video. While I'd agree that the truck driver could have noticed the bucket, it's just crazy that they didn't have traffic diverted in any way. The lane was open, so can't put too much fault on the driver.
