When we travel, The Habit, Whataburger, and Culvers are my favorites. Unfortunately, none of these exist in Montana. Just gotta travel more I guess.

I used to have a few near me when I lived in CA.
Not my favorite burger place, I preferred In N Out for a fast food burger. And now Whataburger is my go to.

I went to a local location near home the other night. There is also one about 2 miles away from where I work.

They have chopped onions on the grill caramelizing all day long.

I usually order without mayonnaise and ask that they reach deep for the well-caramelized onions - they have the best taste!

They also have a good charred tuna sandwich - think ahi that has been grilled. Good stuff.

You really can't go wrong with just about anything on the menu.

For those who think the fries are so-so - try the sweet potato fries. You can also order half and half of fries and onion rings.

I still prefer In-n-out. Whole leaf lettuce vs shredded lettuce , and whole grilled onion (secret menu) vs chopped grilled onion.

KofP used to be a dinky little strip mall. Now you find everything there. Including an "Original" Geno's, home of the Geno's Giant. Nothng like the Geno's in Wayne back in the '70s, though.

Yep on 5-Guy's fries. I eat fries twice a year, and they better be good.

The best fries, though, are at a sports bar, in their commercial kitchen, seconds from the fryer, on one of my jobs.

Good distinction that some people can't seem to grasp when it comes to food service offerings.

Habit I'm ok with, I'm a bit more partial to the Counter. Seeing more Shake Shacks opening out here...I've yet to be overwhelmed. Five Guys are still my go-to for value/cost fast food.

I'd heard so much about In N Out. Had to try it in Phoenix over Thanksgiving trip down there. I don't know if I got the wrong thing but seemed so-so to me.

We got a Shake Shack here now. Tried that and I liked it but kind of pricey for a burger joint.

The KOP Mall is actually the largest shopping mall in the entire USA now believe it or not!

The Genos in King of Prussia closed quite a while ago, like 5-6 years, and IIRC that rebooted Genos chain actually went out of business.

I ate there twice and wasn’t terribly impressed and yes it was nothing like the Genos I remember as a kid, they were around here before being bought out by Roy Rogers I think?
