Add to that, "please listen carefully as our menu has recently changed."

Everyone's menu has recently changed. I think those two phrases come built into new voicemail systems.

I know, right?

That and "I mean..."

Good God, will these ever die?

There is a switch in my brain that get flipped whenever I hear someone utter either of those. I immediately hear nothing else they have to say and will usually just walk away.

I would like genital electro-shock therapy for anyone using 'rare' in a gun ad.

"...between bites and sips".

How 'bout you shove that phrase up your ass, TSA/DOT.

Honorable mention...

"...for the greater good".

"If you’re a leader, you lead the way. Not just on the easy ones; you take the tough ones too…” – MAJ Richard D. Winters (1918-2011), E Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne

"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil... Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel." - Isaiah 5:20,24

I'm annoyed hearing people say things like, "I can't speak to that issue right now."

The jerk in me wants to say, "you speak to people, you speak about an issue."

Maybe we speak to our pets or our plants, but in general we speak to people. We speak about inanimate things, or maybe we address them, but speaking to things makes us look a little crazy.

That's just my opinion, though, and worth every penny you paid for it. Big Grin

God bless America.

That is actually correct.

Regarding annoying use of words, the beginning of a sentence with "So." Especially when written, without a comma.

The use of "super" to modify adjectives. Super big. Super cool. Super awesome. Super fast. It's not incorrect, but it does make one sound like a D-grade fifteen year old.

"My bad." Fuck!
