Do you hear the hum that no one else can hear? I do. It was constant at my old house where I grew up. I still hear it at my current house but only rarely.
In my case it feels like it’s coming from underground and it’s also audible when it happens.

I hear something but I think it's just my ears. I don't think I hear it outside but I assume that's just higher ambient noise levels.
May be interesting to try to use a mic and record if there is underlying hum....
ETA: have not heard what I believe is discussed in the video (after having watched it).

The MQT power plant stopped using coal and went to natural gas generators to provide electricity to the town. When the new generators came online, everyone living near the plant raised hell about noise and vibration. Cost the power company nearly 3 million bucks to quiet the new generators. Do you guys live near a power plant?

Back at our old house I swear there was a low hum only at night when I’d lay down to sleep and would drive my poor wife crazy asking if she heard it. Would bother me a lot and I’d really have trouble falling asleep.
I thought it was some foundry a few blocks away that only ran at night or something like that, but maybe it was not that?

yes, it’s that same phenomenon. When I was younger I thought it may be a train or something but there was a time when there was a strike and the sound still happened. There is (or was) a pipeline between Ohio and Butler, PA that probably did go through my town. That would explain it.

We've talked about it on this forum in years past. People all over the world hear it, including rural and wilderness areas with no industry or power generation. It's a strange thing. I used to hear it from bed before daylight at my old house before getting up to leave for work. It was strange, and all sorts of things ran through my mind. I researched it on the net, and last time I checked it's heard around the globe and no one knows what the hell it is, including scientists.
I'm going with aliens for now.

I've never heard it, but I've heard of it. The video does a good job of suggesting it's probably people reacting to several causes.
I've heard of the hum, and maybe even heard it before developing tinnitus. Could it be something caused by the earth still "ringing" like a bell from the last large meteor hit millions of years ago?
