Online shopping education can get pricey
I have six holsters ,all were purchased over the counter in brick and mortar stores.

I purchased a Vedder o.w.b. and got it promptly.

Since I am not happy with and have to send it back. I am paying $14.00 for shipping ,there and back.

I want another one of their holsters. But am shy about it ,in case I don't like it when I receive it.
If I pay close to $30.00 for shipping and don't have a holster that I am happy with,
Iam going to be hatting life .

Shopping for holsters online is sucking , and unattractive.
Might try Amazon.

You’re not buying a holster from Ryan Grizzle. [/advice]

R Grizzle does offer some very fine looking holsters for my gun.
May have to call them Monday.

Couldn't see kydex offering, may have to settle for leather

What type gun? You might want to try posting a WTB (Want To Buy) ad in the SIGforum Classifieds. One of the members might have something that would suit you.

What exactly did you not like about the Vedder?

Three things come to mind.
This
Is my first time ordering a holster over the phone.

I am sure Sandy did the best she could on the phone.

My inexperience, the inability to hold and see the product

Had i got the more expensive version on the initial purchase, I am sure I'd have been keeping it.

They tried to entice me with a 12 hour reduced price

Seemed kinda cheesy.

Who knows if I absolutely can't find another holster ,
I might go back.

Last resort

They (Vedder) are about twenty minutes from my hangar at Our Little Airport. Let me know if I can help you with anything. My email address is in my profile.

I ordered from Vedder several times. But I did it all online. They had a wheel that would spin to tell you how much discount you get. I just kept clearing cache until the spin came up 50% off.

I did have to return a belt I ordered.

I ordered two holsters from someplace else and I emailed back and forth to make sure they can make the holster for my gun. I even had to email the pics. I still ended having to file down some spots for a good fit.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Im still not sure what you did not like about the Vedder. Was it the belt loops, retention, cant angle? You may just not like kydex. Trying another brand may not make any difference.

Maybe give PJ holster a try.
I have 2 of his IWB holsters and they are nice. He makes OWB also. Just a thought.

Figuring out what you didn't like about the last holster will help guide you in later purchases. Most gun owners end up going through a series of holsters before finding "the one" that's just right for them.

I hope that you didn't ditch the Vedder holster because it "didn't conceal well enough"... Understand that that a XD45 Tactical is one of the largest handguns out there. It's a full sized double-stack .45 acp with a 5" barrel, intended for competition, police duty use, or home defense. It's not intended to be a concealed carry gun. So it very likely could be the large, heavy gun itself that's causing whatever issues you dislike, not the holster.

Also understand that a quality gun holster is intended to work in concert with a quality gun belt. If you're trying to mount a holster on a flimsy department store pants belt, that can introduce a whole host of issue as well.

Returning them instead of putting them in the holster collection drawer.

Even buying them in store can be difficult. Sometimes it takes a while to figure out I don’t like one and it’s not going to break in any different. You could always resell here.

This ^^^^^

There's a reason most people who've been doing the handgun thing for years ends-up with a box full of holsters they don't use anymore. One reason is they buy a holster, try it, decide it doesn't work, and...

Or, as in the case of one I have, you subsequently replace it with one that's a little better.

We're still wondering what, exactly, you don't like about the Vedder holster. Or why a PJ Holster won't work for your application. Something unique about your requirements? Why be so vague?

As for R. Grizzle: He's going to be a lot more expensive than most Kydex benders and you're looking at about six months' wait.

My GS2 was worth the wait, though. And the mag holder he made for me a while back.
