Pretty obvious isn't it?
Religious views are always in last place to them - no made who makes them.
As a Christian agreeing with the Muslims on this so I know where the lefties will vote.

There is one simple rule that predicts all "modern Liberal/Leftist/Progressive" positions:

"What position tends to oppose and tear down a traditional American moral, ethical, or economic value?"

Go ahead...apply the rule to any "hot button" contemporary issue. It always works.

In this case, American religions and traditional morality have discouraged homosexuality, etc, so the Left will side against the Muslims, in defense of "LGBTQ Rights", even though they might appear to "support" Muslims in any other situation where Muslims can be used as an ally in destroying Christianity.
