Seems like a lot of quakes the past few days. 7.6 is pretty serious. The '06 quake in San Francisco was 7.9. The Loma Prieta was only 6.9.

I was in the Loma Prieta quake and it definitely was rock and roll at 6.9

I don't want to see anything stronger.

Anyone have more info. or details. Have family in Puerto Vallarta and they were affected. Evacuated the hotel but no further details right now.

How affected was this area.

So far there are no reports of major damage, and only one death.

You just know that a few seconds before the first tremor hit in Aquila, Mexico,

some father told his son, "Tira de mi dedo, chico"

Anything over 5 gets your attention.

Over 6, the alarm bells are ringing and damage is possible.

Over 7, yeah, stand-by for more and check your surroundings

St. George, Utah just had a reported 4.4 earthquake. No great shake, but I guess it is for them.

The good news is that it was in a remote area. Also, saw they had a M5.3 after shock 85 minutes later.
