The riots in America and the attempted overthrow of the United States
If he's not charged, BLM/ANTIFA will burn his hometown, and don't think for a second this isn't being factored in by the cowardly, virtue-signalling public officials.
And for anyone who was dubious about the efficacy of firearms for personal defense, well, this incident should remove any doubt.
Right now, on TCM, Sir Laurence Olivier is giving his pep talk speech from Henry V

He's only 17 with an AR, from IL, getting into it with rioters in WI.
Very. Antioch, IL isn't all that far from Kenosha, WI, so that part sounds worse than it is. However, and I don't know about Wisconsin's self-defense laws at all, I think it will hinge on whether or not he had a right to be there. For example, it would be different if his family owned the business and he was there with them to protect the business than if he has absolutely no ties what so ever to the business or the community and he just showed up.

"They" have already doxed his place of residence in Illinois on social media, likely his parent's house.

The sad truth is that this young man's life is forever changed. Whether he is convicted or not.
"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown

Kyle Rittenhouse, of Antioch, Illinois, was taken into custody in Illinois on suspicion of first-degree intentional homicide. Antioch is about 15 miles from Kenosha.
In the wake of the killings, Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers authorized 500 members of the National Guard to support local law enforcement around Kenosha, doubling the number of troops sent in. The governor’s office said he is working with other states to bring in additional National Guard troops and law officers. Authorities also announced a 7 p.m. curfew.
Rittenhouse, identified in court papers as a lifeguard at a YMCA in Lindenhurst, Illinois, was assigned a public defender in Illinois for a hearing Friday on handing him over to Wisconsin authorities. The public defender’s office had no comment.
The NRA should sent one of their best attorneys to do this kid's defense.

I wonder if this incident is the modern version of "the shot heard round the world"? I would categorize this as more of a revolution than a civil war in the making.
I guess we will see soon enough...
Praying it isn't, prepared if it is.

The "medic" who got shot in the arm has been identified by 4chan as Gaige Grosskreutz. They say he has a felony conviction and can't have a gun. I searched and didn't find a felony conviction, but this shit stain has multiple misdemeanors for sure that I found.

Thus it is up to us, the community to support him and assist when able. If he's constantly ID'd as the guy who killed two people during social upheaval, it'll hang like a yoke around his neck forever. If the community around him recognizes him as somebody who was just and in the right, he'll be known by his name and nothing more.

Just Sunset_Va's opinion and WAG, but probably 60% of the rioters have s criminal record or charge...and not just traffic violations either.

This was my thought as well. While he absolutely had the right to defend his life, what circumstances or whose decisions led to his being there, armed, at that exact moment in time?

Here is Gaige in full action, the moment his arm is hit, holding a handgun.

Blake the hero of Kenosha who was just walking to his after being a good Sumerian.
Come to find out officers are told a female called and said he's not supposed to be there and has stolen her keys. According to Andy Ngo responding officers also were aware he was wanted for felony rape charges. Additionally he has a history of violently resisting arrest. Seems his lawyer might of been doing some fibbing. He's partially culpable in the destruction going on in Kenosha.
That looks an awful lot like kill or be killed. Ol' Gaige appears to be bringing a handgun to bear on a guy he had just been chasing who is on the ground.
I'd say GS got the shot off just in time. Defense counsel should make hay with this picture.

Well he needs to have his P-card revoked. Usually felons cant hold a state paramedic card, at least in CA. After last night I dont think hes gonna be on a rig anymore, because you kinda need 2 good arms.

I was surprised w that arm wound that he held onto the pistol. He ran to the rear before he stopped and he still had the pistol. This message has been edited. Last edited by: sdy,
