Let me get this right, these 5 "officers" were part of an "elite policing unit" called the "scorpions"?

Ya think? What exactly was the training regimen for this "elite" unit?

My experience with "elite" or specialized units is that they require increased supervision, not less, in order to function lawfully and properly.
For example, our dope unit often had a prosecutor or prosecutors investigator present with them on operations or raids.

As an aside, I hate all this acronym stuff, where, rather than creating an acronym from a logical name- NRA, for example- they create a (usually) convoluted name so that they can have a cool acronym, such as SCORPION.

The taser didn’t work, I’d never met anyone on PCP before, and I was the first cop in town who had…it was the beginning of a long PCP high fights/encounters we had.
The King incident in LA was actually a PCP fight-and that’s why it looked so bad with the cops swarming him, baton strikes, back off and give orders, swarm in…rinse repeat…

I have never seen anything like the media frenzy over this. They are bound and determined to make this bigger than George Floyd. Everyone from the President down to my local Governor is supposed to comment. I suppose they figure, the more people they approach, the more chance they have of someone making a statement they can exploit, that doesn't fit the racist cop scenario. Why is my Virginia governor expected to comment on a police incident in another state? The more you see of this coverage, the more obvious, that it's being orchestrated by George Soros types, bent on dividing the races to the detriment of the country.

Where I worked, pole cameras were installed when we began having serious violent crimes in the areas. If you pay attention when you are driving around you might see “trespassing “ signs that empower the local police. Then further down the road you will start seeing cameras-or not. We had a pole at a big intersection that we (police) had the city power guys install it and it looked like a transformer. Several others were inside a mesh box on the pole the same color as transformers.

A few locals figured out what they were, even knowing, they began to forget them…consciously.
