recoatliftThe riots in America and the attempted overthrow of the United States
I’d like to see a change in how the facts are reported. If it means the police shot and killed a black man that refused orders to drop the weapon & charged police. The officer has been put on leave without pay.
Toxicology reports reveal Mr. XYZ had such & such drugs In his system. He was also a felon in possession of a gun. No charges will be filed, all officers back at work with back pay.
Put that on tv until all the truth is told. Spare me the we can’t say anything about race. Report the truths.

Lefty Sigabsolut18,
The officers knocked and announced and the boyfriend shot through the door hitting one officer, then the officers breached and started shooting back.
I don't know about Kentucky but Indiana's castle doctrine law does not allow you to shoot through a door at someone outside who is not actively trying to break in. Someone standing on your porch knocking loudly, ringing the bell, yelling, etc. is not a deadly threat. They are an annoyance and a trepasser, and you can call the police. If they try to force the door open, then they are a deadly threat.
BUT UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES CAN YOU SHOOT THROUGH A CLOSED DOOR AT AN UNIDENTIFIED PERSON THAT IS NOT ACTUALLY TRYING TO BREACH THE DOOR! If they shoot through the door into your house first, then yes, you can return fire.
So if Kentucky law is similar, the boyfriend was in the wrong. The fact that he wasn't charged and the officers were is just political.

You see, you cannot get the very salient point that she, and her BF, and her old BF were ACTIVE criminals under surveillance, wants and warrants for investigations of numerous crimes including murder.
So, walk back this shit about tucked all comfy in bed after saving the world from evil.
The BF came to the door knocking with a gun, because he was a thug and thugs never know when their homies or enemies are fixing to bust in and kill them.
You yammering on non-relevant points is noising up the thread.
Please take a seat, read up with out pre-supposition and let the facts and truth speak to you.

What is justice in this instance?
I think you are mistaking/transferring "justice" with "tragedy". Do you believe if the circumstances allowed it - in the current climate - if there was any shred of evidence the GJ could hang their hat on, that they would not have indicted?
I firmly believe the GJ would have indicted if the facts allowed based on the laws. I’m disappointed un our laws. My door could be kicked in for circumstances outside my control, and I could be killed defending my home. The fact that our justice system allows this to occur without fault, is the problem in my eyes.

I don’t get it. I’m the first to support LE, and firmly believe in law and order. But in this case, an innocent woman was killed.
Knock on my door at 1240am, and I can promise you I’ll be disoriented and probably try to defend my home. I’m not a criminal, but there is no reason to expect my door kicked in at that hour.
I don’t blame the officers, but he system that allowed this circumstance is wrong. No citizen should be put in that circumstance. No drugs were found, and the primary targets location was known not to be there.
I don’t find rioting or looting to be right, but I can understand being upset with the system that allowed this to happen. We all want law and order. We need to understand that in this case lives were taken that shouldn’t have been, and people are upset. How do we change to ensure this doesn’t happen again, to one of us?
Check out officer Tatum. Com.
She was far from innocent, her boyfriend was far from innocent, her ex boyfriend was far, far from innocent.
The police knocked and announced, though they had a no knock warrant.
The Neighbors said that they heard the knock and announcement.
She was a POS thst was fucking pieces of shit. She was a Suspect in a murder, as a dead body was found in her rental car, that she rented for her drug dealing ex boyfriend and/or boyfriend.
She lived the life, she got what th a t life offers, death or prison.
She is/was a POS that was fired from LMEMS for Stealing drugs, and banned from any job in Louisville Metro government for life.
Fuck her, Fuck her family that also knew what was going on. Fuck then all!

Was she committing a crime at that time? Was her boyfriend committing a crime at that time? If any crime justified this response, then your door could be kicked in at 1240am for speeding 2 weeks ago.
I could feed into the unfounded claims on both sides, but I will try to stick the facts (as best I can ascertain). A life was taken, and at the time no crime was being committed. To pull anything else into this situation, denies a citizen due process.
FACT! FACT! FACT ALERT!
THE POLICE KNOCKED AND ANNOUNCED! FACT ALERT! FACT ALERT!
THE POLICE KNOCKED AND ANNOUNCED!
MORE THEN ONE WITNESS STATED THAT THEY HEARD THE KNOCK AND ANNOUNCEMENT!
FACT ALERT!
FACT ALERT!
SHE WAS NAMED ON THE WARRENT!
FACT ALERT! SHE WAS NOT IN BED ASLEEP!
FACT ALERT! SHE WAS IN THE HALLWAY WHEN HER BOYFRIEND SHOT THROUGH THE DOOR AT POLICE AFTER THEY KNOCKED AND ANNOUNCED!
FACT!
GOT IT?
SHE WAS FAR FROM INNOCENT! EYE BROW DEEP IN THE SHIT.

P.S.
I'm semi local. Local news is full of shit, national news is worse.
Go to officertadum.com read the police report.
Again, kick my door down at that hour and scream whatever you want. I’ve been woken up at that hour, and it takes a minute or two to adjust to the circumstances. An overt threat on my family may easily have put me in the same circumstances. My wife would probably have been up too trying to understand what was going on. And I’ve heard from both sides, that the warrant was both announced and unannounced. At that hour, asleep... you could announce all you want... I may not have heard or understood what was going on until faced with the threat. Does that make me a criminal?
So you believe that drug dealers were asleep at 1 AM?
SAY HER NAME, was in the hallway, not in bed.
The Neighbors heard the police KNOCK AND ANNOUNCE. So I don't believe that either one of them in the target apartment didn't hear the police.
They knew it was either the police or a Rival drug gang. Boyfriend shoots blindly through a closed door.
She was not Innocent. She was a player in the drug game.
She was a POS.

I haven’t read this, can you cite where he fired before the door was breached?

Yes. Yes it does. If you are engaging the police with gunfire - even in your home - who are serving a lawfully issued warrant, you are at the very least guilty of obstruction. Maybe worse.
I believe you are having an emotional response rather than a rational response to the grand jury's decision.

Call me naive, I’ve read what I can find. Facts support both were in the hallway. I have not found anything indicating they shot through the unopened door (but I’m open to facts). I also don’t understand the problem of answering the door at that hour with a a gun, I certainly would. Again, I’m not for breaking the law, I’m not for riot and unrest. I’m just trying to understand the facts and think critically regardless of political and other affiliation. There are lots of instances where laws were followed by LE, but the end result makes me think the circumstances should have been different. To me, that begs for a change in laws and policies.

Ok we get it. You think the outcome is wrong. Do you have to spew the same bullshit and over again? I’m not as eloquent as Sigmonkey so can you just give it a rest. It’s apparent you like being contrarian and you’ve done an admirable job at it. Give it a rest, will ya? You ever serve a warrant? Ever been shot at? Ever hunted bad men intent on doing you harm? I doubt it. Does that mean you cant have an opinion? Of course not, but please, for the love of God STFU and stop shitting on the officers. You dont want the police to serve a VALID warrant at your house in the middle of the night? Just say no to drugs. Problem solved. Damn.

sdy https://www.nationalreview.com...and-jury-indictment/Two police officers have been shot in Louisville, Ky.
Louisville chief of police Robert Schroeder confirmed that the officers were shot and were taken to a local hospital. Schroeder told reporters that one of the officers was undergoing surgery but in stable condition, while the other was alert and stable.
Police have arrested one suspect in the shooting.
https://www.nationalreview.com...m_source=parsely-apiPolice on Tuesday arrested 68 protesters in Louisville, Ky. who were participating in a demonstration over the death of Breonna Taylor.
At least 300 protesters congregated at South Central Park with plans to make their way over to the Louisville Metro Police Training Academy.
Those arrested were charged with obstructing a roadway and disorderly conduct, Louisville Metro Police Department Interim Chief Robert Schroeder said.

stoic-oneObviously 2 officers shot is bad, but it looks to me like Louisville was actually pretty prepared, and handled things pretty well tonight. Hang tough guys!
