P250UA5Frigidaire FGUS2642LF2 ice maker stopped making ice
Our Frigidaire side by side stopped making ice this week.
Previously it had gotten stuck on crushed ice, and that was an easy fix.
Any quick check items to look for/check before we spend any money on it?
My estimation puts the fridge around 6 yrs old, included with new construction, house was built in 2013. We've been here for 2 yrs now.

RogBTry increasing freezer & refrig temp a couple of degrees. Sounds like the water line might be frozen. Also using a hair dryer a few minutes in freezer at high temp where ice drops in bin did the trick for us.

walker77I had to replace the ice maker in ours a couple years ago. It was a couple of screws and an electrical plug.
You dont realize how much you use it until its gone.

P250UA5Got a new filter, adjusted the freezer temp, defrosted the ice maker with a hairdryer. Still no ice.
We have an RO system on the sink, so we never use the fridge for water.

sjamesWe have an older Frigidaire standard refrigerator with a ice maker that acted up for years. Usually, chunks of ice get stuck in it. I have no idea what’s wrong with yours but would offer something to try if you get it working again. We’ve found that dumping the ice container when full, forcing the unit constantly work, has stopped most of our issues.
Hope you get it working!

This was our experience a few weeks ago.

We use the ice maker pretty regularly, so it runs pretty often.
Sounding like it may need to be replaced. Showing in the $100 range online.
