Several postal workers with decades of experience have told me that if they had to follow all of the rules, you would never get your mail. I think that is mostly correct.

The USPS gets a lot of complaints because it is the 2nd largest employer in the US. Walmart is the largest employer (unless Amazon has changed that landscape), so it going to be expected that people have a lot of complaints on something they use daily. Let me guess what is next. Comcast cable, maybe...

THAT's the real surprise one for me, they've NEVER asked for ID when I pick the mail up. I guess their assumption is that a stranger wouldn't know the mail was on hold. A bad assumption.
