Patient: Kichenaid KGRA806PSS00 Range
Issue: Intermittent starting problem with the oven and broiler.

Every so often the oven or broiler will not light. Usually you hear the click of the gas valve opening followed by the spark and gas light-off. Sometimes there is no click, no spark and no fire.

The burners look fine. The igniters look good, at least the part that is in the oven doesn't show any cracking and they work fine most of the time.

I've made sure that the lower drawer isn't shorting anything out per your previous recommendation.

Any thoughts on why it doesn't light-off sometimes? What tests can I run? I have a Volt/Ohm meter.

Thanks,
Bob

I haven't heard from Brad since I sold him a Nikon DSLR outfit for his wife in 2017. His departure from here was quick and unannounced shortly after. He won an election for a local counsel position in late 2016 I believe and that may have some baring in his leaving us here.

Jim

In addition, I had *thought* he was taking up some law school studies, which of course would be a huge time suck. I was lucky to meet Brad, his son and his wife at a Michigan shoot some years back. Fabulous people! I certainly miss his commentary here as well.
