Ordered some ammo 3 weeks ago. Card charged immediately. Called them 2 days ago and they said they would check on the order and call me back. Nothing. Emailed them early this morning. No response. They used to be better.

You mean other than the fact that they're assholes who deny service to certain states that are legal to ship ammo?

I did not know that boss. It's been years since I bought there but they just happened to have ammo I was looking for. No more orders for them.

The original owner sold the business some years ago and has never been the same. I used to be a regular customer and haven't bothered since the service became like every other place.

If I were you, pace, I'd dispute that charge.

And here's their stupid bullshit:

Natchez Shooters Supply restricts shipping to certain states, including Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee, due to exclusivity agreements with wholesalers in those regions. These agreements are designed to prevent Natchez from competing directly with its wholesale clients, as its parent company is a major distributor of firearms and ammunition in those states. This policy has been in place for years, and customers in these states are unable to purchase directly from the company's website, even if they are not local residents. The restriction is not related to legal issues but rather to business contracts that maintain the integrity of their wholesale distribution network.

Holy crap. If I was asked to guess which states they don't ship to, Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee wouldn't have been in the top 45.

It was never about laws. It was about money and yes……assholes.

Today I learned something. So what's a good alternative to Natchez? Top Gun?

SGAmmo is absolutely awesome. Unfortunately, they haven’t shipped to CA for years, even when it is legal to do so. One of the best things about escaping this communist paradise if I ever manage to do it will be being able to order from Sam & company again.

Top Gun Supply is beyond awesome for parts with shipping so fast they must know what I’m going to order before I place the order. I didn’t know that they did ammo too. Doh!

ETA: With respect to folks not competing with their distributors, I can understand and respect that. It would be nice if they at least posted a list of their distributor in the states they won’t compete in so one could check them out. I periodically forget and use Natchez. Then I remember why it has been a long time since I’ve used them - they are SLOW! I’ve never had them screw me over, but every time I forget and order from them I regret not having a better memory.

After many, many years they finally stopped sending me their magazine ad. I bought a couple of boxes of 22 magnum rounds once.

Earlier this week I ordered some 357 Mag ammo from SG, got it the next day.

Love that outfit, they do good.

And if they make a mistake, I'll just smile and ask them to make it right. No need to throw out the baby with the bath water, so to speak.

Even without these issues, Natchez fell of my radar a long time ago. I had no idea they were still around.

During Covid I ordered a lot from Natchez and had it shipped to my TN address with no problems at all. I haven’t ordered in quite a while but as others have said SGammo has been top notch.

It's been years since I ordered anything from Natchez, but I still get fliers from them in the mail every 2 or 3 months. Never had any problems with them, and I wasn't aware of their ammo policy. SGAmmo has been my go-to for a long time now.

SG Ammo for me too. At one point, Natchez had good sales on optics but I have not used them in years.

I just checked out SGAmmo — looks like I’ll be using them instead of Natchez in the future! I like the free shipping with orders over $200.

I also like that they’re based in Oklahoma — Mrs. SigFan is an Okie. Big Grin

While I've never had an issue ordering from Natchez, they' not what I'd call quick. So I don't order anything from them I need in a hurry.
It always comes, but sometimes it's closer to eventually.
