Anyone here not like tacos?

EdmondAnyone here not like tacos?
I'm 41 years old, I know 1 person who does not like tacos. It's my neighbor. When I asked her why, she said it's because she's not Mexican.

I'm not Mexican either but I love me some tacos.
If you love tacos, what's your favorite?
Some of my favorites are from a little older Mexican lady from one of my old job sites. She would cook everything at home, load up her Highlander and drive around the job site around lunch time. She did pretty good business. We just referred to her as the taco lady. Her al pastor was incredible with her homemade salsa.

BigSwedeYep, most of the places around here are just ok
I think I will make some tonight with grilled Portobello tops

comet24Wierd just weird.
Favorite depends on how it's seasoned.
Al pastor with pickled onions I had before where amazing. I've had some very good tocos.
I was driving in Mexico back to Tulum and saw some roadside food. Fresh chicken on a wood grill and some other stuff. Great tocos and coke in a glass bottle.

GeorgeairBrisket.
Seriously, didn't even know this was a thing until we moved to TX. Now one of our favorite things about smoking a brisket is looking forward to the tacos a couple days later.
Soft flour tortilla, guac or at least slice avocado, grilled or sautéed onion, good salsa, some grated cheese of any flavor, sour cream, tomatoes or lettuce if you must with some gently reheated and thinly slice brisket, preferably point if you hid some away. Dang!
Man do we miss living somewhere you can walk in a store and get a mountain of tortillas made a few minutes ago. Or roasted Hatch Chiles out front.

flashguyI won't say I "love" tacos, but I am fond of them. I don't eat fancy ones, though, just some from Taco Bell without cheese and with tomatos (you have to pay extra for those--weird). I use their "Fire" sauce, one packet per taco.
I have eaten tacos from other places (same ingredients) and have enjoyed them. Taco Cabana makes a pretty good one, and it's what I usually order when a group I'm in goes to a Mexican or Tex-Mex restaurant (one of the few things I can order without cheese).
So call me a person who likes tacos.

229DAKI will eat all tacos except fish/seafood tacos. I'm sure it's a mental thing with me.
Grew up eating crispy tacos at home; mom put all the fillings out on the table in separate bowls and we made our own.

si no te gusta tacos, comes gorditas, o pupusas.
Mis tacos favoritos son puerco el pastor con cebollas y cilantro en una tortilla de harina o, en la manana, barbacoa.

1s1kI never had them growing up and then I married a Spanish woman. I love them. No one in my family ever eats them which is weird to me since they are super easy and delicious.

Same here until I tried them at our local Mexican restaurant. they were outstanding. Maybe our easy access to fresh fish helps.

Me too, but I didn't know tacos were a thing in Spain
BTW, one of my favorites is a taco and a tamal off of the "sides" menu at a local place, a good pork tamal is hard to beat

I had never heard of that until a few years ago my wife was in South Carolina for business and went to a place called Mac's speed shop and that's what she got and she raved about them so we have made them since.

NavyAgShooterTacos aren't just for Tuesday.
The other day I drove through Taco Bell for three tacos combo. Got 17 packets of fire sauce for the three tacos. They must have been in a hurry.

You do bring up a good point. Her family always had them so I just assumed. My family is Swedish and no one I know from my side of the family ever makes them.

Breakfast brisket tacos are a staple around here. Brisket, some scrambled egg, maybe some cheese or potatoes, little bbq sauce. Yep, I'll take three please.

RogueJSKDang... I have yet to use the forum's Ignore function, but now I'm considering it. Because if some of ya'll don't like tacos, then I just don't think we can be friends anymore. That's a deal-breaker. It makes me question your humanity.

dgrdvmVery strange.
Not liking tacos is like not liking pizza.
