Convertible top window, small separation from the top resulting in a leak when it rains. Need a good waterproof adhesive to try to re-bond the glass to the fabric top. Owner would prefer to avoid the near $2k for a new top, plus the time to install DIY. Currently have the trunk area disassembled & plug removed so it doesn't hold water. If the adhesive will be hidden by the fabric, how about 3M 5200?

That might be a good option to try. The Enemy's gate is down.

5200 is a fantastic adhesive but it is most definitely permanent. If the area is truly small I would squeeze some 5200 on a piece of cardboard and use something small and disposable to apply it very carefully. Once it’s on something, it on it for good.
