My grandson got this medal from his neighbor years ago. He was too young to think to ask about. The man who gave the medal to my grandson moved away.
So my grandson is wondering what this medal is.

Looks like it might be something called a model workers medal. Something they gave out to good commie workers for being good commie workers. Communists love them some shiny trinkets and baubles to show how down with the cause they are.

I wondered about the date too. Maybe it was removed from the previous owner at the Chosin Reservoir.

Only if the previous owner had a time machine.

Medal is from 1952. The Battle of Chosin took place in late 1950.

Yes he did. I think Korea.
The man has sinced died.
My grandson is still in touch with the family, he's buddy is the neighbors grandson, but he's deployed right now.
