Finally pulled the plug on AT&T and will be using T-Mobile for both internet and phone service.
On my current system AT&T, I had fiber optic service and used 2 Linksys 5G routers to broadcast my signal through out the house and back yard. When I bought the routers they had just come out with 5G even though at the time there was no 5G service yet available.I paid a bundle for those 2 routers.
The routers worked great.
Now I have the T-Mobile 5G router to install. I thought I could tie it into my Linksys routers for better coverage but when I asked at T-Mobile about this I was told they did not think they would work on the T-Mobile system.
I thought I would ask here, there is no shortage of tech's on this forum.
I hate to have to upgrade at T-Mobile for there additional router and more expensive service plan.

If the T-Mobile Router has network connection port(s) (LAN) you should be able to plug the router into it and run it the same as the AT&T box.

All your router cares about is that it has a LAN port to connect to.

Now if the T-Mobile router has no LAN hard connection ports you'd have a problem

I have had 2 different T-mobil modem/routers that worked just fine on their own, no need for an add on router.

I'd be surprised if your existing stuff couldn't be set up to work with almost any ISP's modems and routers.

My guess is the T-Mobile techs didn't want to bother looking up anything they aren't themselves getting paid to provide, so threw up their hands.

After you get the modem, try looking through Linksys support info for your hardware to see what others have done to configure your model Linksys to work with whatever model modem T-Mobile has given you.

It will work, but you have it backwards. You want to tie yours to theirs's not theirs's to yours. (algebra analogy, order of operations matters)

If the T-Mobile is a "Ethernet/LAN handoff", meaning it is the gateway/router and the "inside", your T-Mobile Device will supply an IP address to anything that can obtain an IP address when connected. So, if your two Linksys routers are configured to obtain a dynamic WAN IP address, they will still work when you connect them to the T-Mobile device. (if the Linksys are set to static IP on the WAN interface, you just need to change that.

{T-Mobile servce/internet service}---[T-Mobile device/WiFi LAN]---{hand off to your home}---(all your stuff)

With the T Mobile there is no line to connect its all wireless.
I assume I need to feed off the T Mobile to the Linksis routers.

I had T-Mobile Home Internet service. The gateway device has an ethernet port that you can connect to your own router. I used a NetGear MESH router for this. Worked just fine.

I currently have a T-Moble router, and it does have two LAN/Ethernet ports.

I have used them, but not to connect other routers.
