With Para's permission, I am posting a "Go Fund Me" due to an unexpected crisis in my family. Medical bills for a multitude of specialists, tests, etc. are snowballing, and now we are far enough behind on mortgage payments that our house has gone into the foreclosure process. We are working on some options, but we need something immediately!

I too would like to pitch in a little, but I thought SF members in-the-know recommended against using GoFundMe for crowdfunding. Aren't there are other alternatives that take much less cut of donations? Maybe Fundrazr or GiveSendGo?

I had forgotten about that, and I couldn't think of any other sites off the top of my head at that time as I was more than a little "frazzeled"! I will start one on GiveSendGo, and once it is up and running, I'll close the GFM account.

I just switched over to GiveSendGo if that works for you. If not I will send you my mailing address instead. Thanks!
