Have seen these mentioned, but not a source for them.
My wife's Expedition has wireless charging, but not wireless AA. Redundant to use the charging pad & be plugged in.

With the charging port on my S22 seemingly weakening (bump in the road can stop the connection/charging) wireless AA would be great.

Anyone use an adapter? I'm assuming it's some sort of USB receiver?

I bought one of these.

Wireless AA

It works via Wifi. The problem I had with it is the USB sockets in my truck don't turn off when I shut the truck off(stay on for about an hour) so my phone would stay hooked to it and not switch over to my home wifi. Was a pain in the ass.

But if your USBs turn off right away I think it would be a better experience.

My wife and I both use a GROM system that adds on to our factory head unit's in place of a CD changer, using factory controls. Has bluetooth and a female USB connector for a memory stick. We also added the optional mic for handsfree calls. With the possible exception of the microphone (depending on where it is placed), nothing is visible.

I bought the Carlin wireless car layer for my 21 Toyota Highlander and have no complaints. I generally have it set to Waze.

I saw the Carlinkik 4.0 recommended for AA use, as their 3.0 is Carplay only.

Looks like an interesting product.
I use a cable to my Alpine to get the Android Auto which activates the GPS on the Car Stereo.
My issue is I like to play FLAC Audio files but can't when this is plugged it.
Leaving me to just stream any audio which is fine but not ideal.
Eliminating the cable would be nice but not going to solve my problem.
Still, looks like a great product/solution though. ^^^ Cool

On the advice of a friend, cleaned out the charge port on the Galaxy. Took some hunting to find something small/thin enough to get to the bottom of the charge port.
One of our lab tech sews & had a mini-kit in her purse. Sewing needle got 2 decent lint balls out of the charge port. We'll see if that improves things & saves me $100 for the Carlink.

I need one of these as I generally do a lot of quick trips so plugging and unplugging is a pain. Not to mention bad for the port and cables.
I have an Aftermarket headunit and it’s hard to know which will play nice.
Also most say there is a noticeable sound degradation just like with Bluetooth.
So for all of these reasons I have yet to pull the trigger.

Well, cleaning out the charging port seems to have improved charging performance/stability in my car. We'll see how it behaves with AA in my wife's car.

Been using wireless carplay since 2019. Bought a new MY2019 pickup and immediately put in a Pioneer headunit with wireless, and gutted all the factory crap. Haven’t looked back. I use no charge cords at home or in the vehicle. Thing of the past. Bought a wireless charging pad off Amazon back then that plugs into the center console. When I leave the house, put the phone on the pad in the center console, close it, and it stays there until I get home.

What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone

Update: Been using this
https://www.ugreen.com/collect...riant=39915666505790

Works great for audio, still have the calls routed through the car.
Luckily, the Malibu stereo has aux & USB on the face, and the USB has enough power to run the BT adapter.

I have the carlink dongle.

it is an older version. A bit finicky to connect but once connected works great.

I think the finicky is the iPhone not wanting you to drive and connect.
