We had a little snow this morning and Gunner and Freda had some fun playing around. Bonus appearance from the old man Scout, the Cocker Spaniel.

Before opening the thread, my money was on the cow dog! Big Grin

My younger daughter got a Border Collie, 7 weeks ago (on the left) and now.

She remarked on how fast she is growing, and I marveled that both stood in the same spot all that time...

Pupper is totally deef, so she is working on 100% hand signals.

She has trained BCs and competed in agility, fly ball and such, and had her first BC (Willa) from when she was a teenager and had to put her down a few years back.

Those are great pics and kudos to your daughter for working with her on the hand signals, that is awesome that she's willing to put in the time and effort and love required. Such a cute face!

She (the GSD) is really sweet and she does not understand the Heeler at all - she cannot figure him out. We had to keep them separated for months when we got her - the heeler does not like any person or dog that is not in the family. It took a lot of patience and work to get them to tolerate each other at first and then to actually get along. She still cannot figure him out at all and is constantly 'talking' about it Smile

Here she is giving her 'cute face' the other day when I was eating lunch - she wanted a bite, really bad!

What fun! Dogs in the snow are the best. We have 2 Swissies (Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs) and the best time of the year to take a walk and hang with them is after a nice snow in freezing temps. It shows their true roots and heritage and is heaven on earth for them!

We had a very young red heeler, border collie, mut mix show up at our house. She is one year old now.

She is a good dog, but do these type of dogs ever calm down?!

Gunner turned 5 a couple of months ago and shows no signs of slowing down Smile

Lots of good exercise every day helps, it's really obvious on the days when we can't get his exercise in.
