We have the same Oster and it's been running strong for about three years. Even baking heat, good broiling, toasts evenly and decent convection operation. The only thing that it sucks at is keeping time. Whatever is on the electronic board controlling that is way off. The reviews at the time we purchased it did mention it. They may have fixed the issue by now. ETA - Just looked at the reviews, and the clock is still off. BFD! Oh, and lots of complaints that it "gets too hot". LOFL! It's an oven you moron! It's supposed to get hot!! That is akin the lawsuits filed by the anti-gunner's alleging that guns are too dangerous, that they are too deadly! __________ "I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal labotomy."

Last Christmas I bought my wife, who is a PIA to shop for, a new toaster oven in keeping "on brand" after buying and returning a few we ended up with a Hamilton Beach Easy Reach and have been quite happy with it.

My wife and I have been through a small number of toaster ovens; Black & Decker, Panasonic, etc. Our Breville is the best one yet, still working great 5 years later. We have a Breville. The oven is a few years old and it gets used daily. With only two of us my wife often uses it instead of the large oven. We are very satisfied with our Breville.

It's true. I'm never asking for opinions on anything here. Ask for best potatoes peeler and you end up with $79 titanium, carbide coated, tungsten reinforced, stainless steel, enameled, military grade, corrosion coated internals, EOTWAWKI, multigenerational life expectancy peeler. I know OP already purchased but I also have a Breville Smart Oven and it's fantastic. It has seriously gotten a ton more use than our regular oven. I hardly cool anything in our oven now unless it's too big to fit inside the Breville. One of the best kitchen related purchased we've ever made

What I find myself constantly being reminded of is that you get what you pay for... for years I bought 15 -30 dollar toster ovens and replaced them every couple of years and usually griped about them during those times.... Bought a Breville last year and am totally happy, don't know how long it will last but I will most likely buy another when it goes... Just don't put your hand on the backside of it when it is cooking.... My Native American Name: "Runs with Scissors"

I’ve had a Breville for several years and use it to toast, bake and broil. It has been a great investment and has worked well.

Couldn’t you cut the pizza in half, cook the first half, then cook the second half while you’re eating the first? Then the second would be nice and hot! Serious about crackers

Not really from Vienna |
Couple years ago I bought one that uses infrared light to cook the food, based on recommendations I found here (If I remember correctly). It’s kind of large but it cooks really fast and has been reliable so far. It’s the Panasonic NB-G110P.

We have a Panosonic oven also. Love how it works. "If Gun Control worked, Chicago would look like Mayberry, not Thunderdome" - Cam Edwards

And a dozen more of us wind up with one too - and we didn’t even know we needed one.
