Have you ever started a book, and been immediately smacked by its current relevance?
Player Piano by Kurt Vonnegut. I read it back in the 1970's. It’s about computers and machines taking over the world and putting people out of work if I remember correctly.

I recently had that experience with a tv series. JK Simmons starred as a man who passed thru to a parallel world experienced severe loss of freedom due to a viral pandemic. It was only slightly more extreme than our recent "lockdown" situation, but was made in 2016. I had to stop watching it.

Read the Alex Fletcher boxset a few months ago. Survival fiction based on a flu pandemic that I thought was strangely familiar to current events.
